Throughout our lives, we all experience a loss. Grief and loss feelings aren't always related to a death, but commonly appear with the loss of a relationship, pregnancy, pet, or loved one as well. Grief can leave you feeling sad, hopeless, irritable, and numb, and affects you mentally, emotionally, and physically. Understanding those feelings is important for the healing process. Utilizing psychotherapy we will work on exploring and processing emotions, talking about feelings of blame and guilt, and developing/improving coping skills to find healing.
Everyone experiences grief in their life, yet it can be profoundly personal and isolating. Grief isn't just about the death of a loved one, but can arise with:
Any significant loss
End of a relationship
Loss of a job
Major life change
The loss of a dream.
